2014, not by much, because it's more 'muscle'

New mustang for the win, all views except the rear veiws. Hate the new taillights and the sloping rear end
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:48 |

I quite love it.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:48 |

How much? :p
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:51 |

the lights in the grille on the '14 just look..... no
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:52 |

I would have to go with the 2014. I am a sucker for the old school looks. And I hate to say it but the 2015 Mustang does look a little bit like a Ford Fusion and that isn't what I want my muscle car to look like.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:52 |

It does look better in person, but still not my cup of tea. Then again I'm not really a mustang guy.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:52 |

Seems out of place doesn't it?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:54 |

Good post. I'm a big Mustang guy, owned the latest generation (ish, latest was a 2011) and can say for sure that I LOVE the new version more from a design standpoint. It's a home run IMO, more modern while retaining elements from his history. It's not retro anymore and that's ok.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:54 |
|
I'm prepared to say that it isn't a Muscle Car to begin with, but that's a debate for another time.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:54 |

I like the 2014 a little bit more overall. Not sure exactly why because I like do like the 2015, but it just does'nt look as good as the 2014 to me.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:55 |

Love the new, but would have been okay with a sharpened version of the old. With the curves of the 15 of course.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:57 |

I'm so torn. WHAT THE HELL!
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:57 |
|
Here's what it's trying to be reminiscent of.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:57 |
|
Neither
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:57 |
|
I can't see how that'd work out...
At least properly.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:58 |

seems just like a design ploy to make it feel 'retro', glad with what they did with the new one, it's a 'modern' Mustang whereas the last one just seemed like a suck-up to the originals
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:59 |
|
Looks like a sharp block, and it is heavy and dated too. Meh.
Like a geometrical storm trooper of sorts..
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:59 |

YOU MUST CHOOSE
![]() 11/24/2014 at 10:59 |
|
Would have preferred if they made the headlight projector bigger without the slanted leds and incorporated the in grill round lights. Haven't seen it person, but the front looks to sloped from the pictures. Wish it was a bit more squarish or in your face like the new Mercedes fronts. I like the rear especially the added width.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:00 |
|
Why must you come up with these impossible questions?! I guess it depends on how I feel.... But I'll go with the 2016, because GT350.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:02 |
|
2015 it is then. ;p
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:02 |
|
In pictures, the old one. In real life, the new one.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:05 |
|
Oh dear Lord, not that. I just meant some touch ups. Just to make it a bit more aggressive. Think the difference between a 95 and a 2000.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:07 |
|
The 2015 because the design makes it look a lot lower and wider than the 2014 which looks a little tall in comparison. Both handsome looking cars though.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:10 |
|
Meh, I don't get it. It looks bulkier than the last one.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:14 |
|
But it looks lower and wider too.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:14 |
|
If I must I choose the '15 because of the new technology and the fact of the GT350 is becoming a full time car now instead of a side project of shelby.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:14 |
|
The '95 Looked much better than the 2000.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:16 |
|
You'd choose the '15 exterior just on technology?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:16 |
|
Proportionally, yes, perhaps. Still not a fan, though, Whenever I see one on the street, it just looks like a slightly melted version of the old one.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:18 |
|
Yes because they never changed the 2014's tech package touch screen. its been the same sense 2010. Also I hope this IRS system isnt as shoddy as the SVT Terminators
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:24 |
|
Melted, that's a new one! I actually like that a bit.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:24 |
|
Its almost impossible for me to choose.
Without a spoiler: 2014
With a Spoiler: 2015
I LOVE the way the 2015 looks lighter and more agile (Although it really isn't).
I, I. I'd buy a Golf R Sportwagen honestly :)
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:25 |
|
Shoddy?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:26 |
|
0.01 muches
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:28 |
|
That doesn't seem like much at all.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:28 |
|
I mean it handled 390HP ok but when you get to over 600HP ti kinda fails from time to time.
Now the big question would be Termi or '15 GT
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:30 |
|
Exactly
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:31 |
|
That's just like your opinion man.
The Camaro only weighs 100 pounds more than the Mustang GT
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:33 |
|
The 2015 has much better attention to detail. The little things all add up to a nice design where all the details on the 2014 look like the designers were obligated to include them out of tradition. The "hockey stick" and the rear side windows especially.
One negative about the 2015 is that it looks pissed off, along with every other new car available today (including the upcoming Miata!), meaning that it won't age as well and it won't stand out as much. Hence the "it looks like an Accord" insults (which I completely disagree with).
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:37 |
|
It is my opinion, and that there is your opinion. I like to think that half-a ton is quite the difference between cars.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 11:47 |
|
I like '15 better from every angle and all fronts. I'm just smitten as can be with it.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 12:34 |
|
Yep once you add big power it breaks half-shafts. Most high hp Termis have SRAs from GTs swapped into them. I was a very compromised design, due to the fact it had to fit on a car platform that was never designed for IRS and fit regular factory tooling for a SRA.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 12:35 |
|
I like both a lot. The 2013 refresh looks great and they did wonders with the tailights. The 2015 is clean looking and reminds me of the SN95. I have thought about selling my 95 Cobra for a 2013 GT.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 12:50 |
|
It seems like the Terminator was meant to be a track car rather than a drag stripper?
![]() 11/24/2014 at 12:55 |
|
I often think about it as the modern SN-95 myself. :)
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:04 |
|
I never said you could decide for me! I'm going against your options and picking 2016!
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:09 |
|
Sure you wanna pick a 2016 instead of a 2017?
:)
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:16 |
|
I'm sticking with 2016, scaring looking GIF or not!
Maybe I should reconsider...
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:19 |
|
Why would you reconsider..
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:28 |
|
Definitely not because of the gif! I just... Uh... The 2017 has bigger cup holders!
On a random unrelated note, the 2014 Mustang's got deeper cup holders so you don't shift it to your cup. Nice, if you actually put drinks in there
![]() 11/24/2014 at 13:57 |
|
But the cup holders have been shifted over to the right to provide even better shifting.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 14:06 |
|
The SVT Cobras cars are supposed to be a good all around cars.
![]() 11/24/2014 at 14:07 |
|
This is true! But I don't allow drinks in my car so I don't have to worry about that.
